In the wildness of the past week, I almost forgot the table we ordered was arriving yesterday.
We got this table and 6 of these chairs (using two of them at our eat at bar in kitchen)
and two of these saddle stools
I love it, of course my feet tend to dangle LOL as it is a pub table, but that's what those lovely foot rests are for~~
I have had the same dining room table for 18 years and was really ready for a new one. and the leaf is built in (this is called a butterfly table) and so now no worries on where to store leaf! DH wondered what I would put in drawer in base...OH no worries, I am sure I will find something I assured him
it almost....almost makes me look forward to cooking (I actually don't mind cooking) but I would love to have MY cook serve me here HA ha....I must be dreaming

Riding, our kitchen table has a butterfly leaf and I love it. It was made sometime in the 1930's and is probably one of only a few pieces that my kids will fight over when DH and I kick the bucket! It's been in our house for over 33 years.
the butterfly leaf id a cool idea, my old one had 2 leaves and I always had to store one, so this is great!
I am insane, the other day I was sitting at the table and DD1 who was home from college walked by onve...then back and asked why I was sitting there. I told her just admiring my divine table (LOL I was not I just stopped a minute and was checking something) but she was sure I was just sitting there admiring table LOL
