I had to go to Good Shopping Area last night for a few things. AB fell asleep on the way there and did not wake up when we got to the restaurant. PM laid him on the booth seat next to him, figuring he'd be up soon to eat. The restaurant was pretty noisy and crowded, being a Friday, with plenty of kids to amp up the volume. One of them pulled the fire alarm, which blared VERY loudly. It rang for a minute or two, but AB never flinched!
I used to be able to sleep that deeply, then I had a baby!

DD went to a boarding school her last 2 years of hs (a chance of a lifetime opportunity and she loved it...). She and roommate played a very physically demanding sport which left them falling into bed exhausted. Apparently the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and the dorm emptied out. Both she and her roomie slelpt through it and no one checked their room (at the end of the hall). They didn't learn about it until breakfast the next morning when people were complaining about standing out in the cold until the all clear was sounded.
She and her roommate were FURIOUS and were quite vocal that if it had been a real fire, they would have been toast. I think she waited a few years to tell me about that one...
