we have the front office door propped open and the air is just fantastic. I LOVE this time of year, when it is all so clean and fresh!

The dogwoods and tulip trees started blooming last week and now the redbuds are showing colour. Springtime in Missouri is lovely too.

I was a little concerned that I'd wake up in Pittsburgh this morning, due to all the wind, but today is beautiful! I found crocuses starting to poke up through the mulch.

Yesterday was gorgeous here, too. The little peach and apricot trees we planted last year put out about three flowers each. It is supposed to get down to the mid twenties tomorrow night, so they will not last long. We really didn't expect any fruit for a couple of years, but it would have been exciting to see one or two this year.

We are finally getting Spring weather that is nice here. We have been going outside to play a lot and going to parks. My allergies are acting up though with itchy eyes. Pollen! But love the gorgeous Spring weather.

The snow they're predicting for this area is supposedly going to be "onion snow."

Off the top of my head, I want to say it's just a light snow that shows up after the onions are planted.

A quick Google search confirms my suspicions, and also says the expression is chiefly used in PA.

Well then our dusting was rosebush snow, cause I planted two on Sunday. Then I covered them with buckets last night because it got cold.

And now Scott Harbaugh is reporting that we will be reaching near-record lows tonight. The record is 21 and the forecast is 26. Scott Harbaugh, you are on my List, along with Stephen Cropper, Kevin Benson, Jeff Verszyla, and any other Pittsburgh meteorologist I forgot!
