As promised, here are some pictures from my new camera. I'm still just using the auto setting, but I hope to get to the manual stuff soon! (Spoilered for size)

No, I am so not a farm girl. The barn belongs to my friend's neighbor and the rooster belongs to the same friend. Funny story about their chickens - the kids were sledding this winter with the chickens! I didn't know a chicken would stay on a sled, but apparently these ones do!

Manual settings are really fun! They may seem scary at first, but what my photo teacher taught me is SO true "It's not hard, it's just esoteric." there are just a few concepts that seem very complicated, but they really aren't, and once you wrap you head around them it's actually pretty simple.
I really need to take a photography class. I try to use manual when I can. I tend to try the same photo with multiple settings to try things out but it would be nice to really learn it.
I've taken several photo classes and really loved them. My biggest complaint is that all of them tend to have a lot of "this is what you need to buy". You may leave their thinking a) your camera is junk and b) you need to spend at LEAST $5000 just to get some decent stuff. You gotta tune that part out!
