So does everyone have a holiday on Monday? Those of you who live outside the US should just take the day off too for fun. I just put in a vacation slip for Thursday and Friday, so whoo hoo - FIVE DAY WEEKEND! I have various exciting things planned for the next few days, including bathing the dogs, finish planting flowers and making a tiramisu for my stepson.
Please someone tell me you have better plans than that for Memorial Day!
I think I will finally finish switching my closes from the fall/winter clothes to the spring/summer clothes. Then, I want to drop off some jewelry for repair at the jewelry store. If I get those two things accomplished, I will feel good. Nice to have the day off on Monday.

I hope you make it to the jewelry store. That will be one less thing on your mental to do list. I picked up a watch today that needed a new clasp for over two years, after I accidently slammed it in the microwave door. I had put it off for a while then it was hard to find since its an old thin band watch from the 80's.
I think DH will get to work remotely on Monday for the holiday. He will probably have nerd time Monday afternoon which works for me because I would like to spend a day cooking things and it is easier to do without him home.
I'm a SAHM, so every day is a holiday! Well, not really, but it does change some aspects of a holiday for me. I'm going to spend Friday and Saturday with my mom, cleaning out my stepdad's belongings, so it will be a memorial weekend for us of sorts.

Taking my mom out of town Saturday for a baseball game, spending the night there. Haven't decided if I'll go to the game at home Sunday or not. Monday afternoon, baseball game.
Bad timing on my part, though. I looked for an away game with a decent driving time before it got too hot, and didn't even think about it being a holiday weekend. I just hope I can find the 500 on the radio on the way home. (Alternative would be to rush Mom out of the hotel at 8 AM - "time's a-wastin', gotta get home before Jim Nabors sings!" But that seems mean.)
We're driving back from a work-related trip tomorrow and Friday, DH is putting on a men's conference Saturday, and I definitely have to be at work on Monday since I haven't been in for a week and a half! Bummer.
Memorial Day here so yes, DH has work off and no school for kids. The kids last day is tomorrow and they will pick up report cards Tues. We don't have plans because they are going to my mom's since they were supposed to go last weekend but she got sick. We are celebrating my SD's birthday Monday when I pick them up from her house.
For my last bit of freedom before Summer vacation I am getting a massage and a pedicure and running errands solo on their last day of school haha
