August cannot end soon enough. Today the high was 97 and the blower on our wood furnace actually kicked on when the temperature in the chamber got hot enough. It's unplugged now!
Some of you lucky ducks live in nice climates, so I just thought I'd give you a reason to be glad about your area.
Funny thing is it's been in the high 80's low 90's. What's been killing us here is the humidity. Example: Friday (in Knoxville, a close "big city" to me) the high was 90, and the maximum humidity was 87... for a heat index (according to this NOAA Heat Index Chart) of somewhere between 117 - 122

Yep makes me mad that school starts in August because we have a pool membership but with school going on, we really don't get to use it much. Only day we can swim after school is Wednesdays and on the weekend.
Too hot for Hobby Lobby to Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas stuff out! When it is 100 degrees (literally, no exageration), I do not want to see 2-foot-tall nutcrackers!
