In Mexico we celebrate Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Death) but the kids also go out in costume and ask for their calaverita (direct translation little skull, it refers to the sugar skull that is traditional of this holiday).
So this year we have LO in Gymboree classes and the last week of October will be dedicated to Halloween, kids and parents have to go in costume and will be handing out candy.
We are going as a family of scarecrows
What are your kids wearing for Halloween? Also a question regarding toddlers and candy, what kind of candy would you prefer that your kid gets? I was thinking small suckers, but DH thinks it's a little dangerous, but I'm drawing a blank as to what else would be good. These are kids ranging from 1 yo to 2 and a half.
I didn't really count we went out with some of the other kids in the neighborhood.
We were a group of about 8 or 10 kids and half way through the houses we found another large group of kids, it was very funny the kids group double up in size in a second and all the kids were screaming and jumping around.
I'm sure we gave candy to all of the kids, so that would have been about 20 and then a couple of stray kids came around and that was another 6, so no more than 30.
