anyone have any fun Spring/Summer Plans?

one of our sons is flying DH and I to Las Vegas for our anniversary the end of April.  a couple of the other old enough kids are gong along, I am looking so forward to hanging out by the pool and catching up with a great friend, and JUST doing NOTHING...

We all need a DO NOTHING kind of day/week sometimes to recharge!

Having Do Nothing time is one of the reasons I like going to the minor league baseball games. It's different relaxing at home, where everywhere I look there's reminders of projects to be done. At the ball field, even if my brain goes to something that should be done, there's nothing I can do about it, so I kick the idea right out of my mind.

Sounds like you have a fun trip planned - if you gamble I hope you win big!

you summed it right up, that's why I like camping too, and we are avid campers going every weekend once May hits through the end of Sept and some a week or more long.

You can just relax and not worry because there is really nothing you *have* to do!!! I LOVE it.

DH and I are not big gamblers, will lose a few bucks I am sure LOL, but three kids (well 29, 24 and 23 ) are looking forward to it! DS2 is paying our flight and motel rooms so they all have rooms and we can just relax in ours, but as I said the pool and sun are JUST calling my name...with a cold beer LOL

Only the same plans I have every Spring/Summer here... work work work work work.

Finances allowing, I would tend to agree.


That's the problem I have though... finances don't allow.

well a bit of a stay-cation that does not cost tons and not a long time....just enough to regroup and relax

LOL... it's not even about the travel expenses for me... It's about the lost income (no paid vacation). But, in general, I do agree that taking some time to unwind is important and good for people.

Can you carve out a few hours a week for just you and a hobby?

We're moving in July, so that takes care of June (packing) and July (unpacking and learning my way around). I have Peeps invited for August, so that will motivate me to not only unpack, but decorate!
